Next Friday 17 November, Open Evidence co-founder Cristiano Codagnone will give a speech at the conference “Digital change in gambling market – online gaming social gaming and beyond” at the University of Lüneburg (Germany). During his speech, Prof. Codagnone will present the results of the Open Evidence study on online gambling and consumer protection, carried out on behalf of the European Commission.
The study was launched in light of the lack of evidence on the effectiveness of existing measures. It developed a common set of measures to ensure consumer protection in online gambling. Two multi-country lab- and online-based behavioural experiments were carried out, testing both existing and new measures. Countries covered include Estonia, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden, and UK.
