Next 27th-29th of May, the HIMSS Europe 18 & Health 2.0 Conference will be held in the beautiful coastal town of Sitges (Barcelona).
The event is going to be the most influential digital health conference of 2018 and will include sessions which will address the whole spectrum of the digital health ecosystem with the aim to reach key audiences in the sector: from hospital CEOs to innovative SMEs and start-ups, as well as CMOs, clinicians and nurses. Conference themes will include: digital transformation, cybersecurity, interoperability and data into knowledge.
Furthermore, the 5th edition of the European Telemedicine Conference (ETC18) will be featured in the conference with a dedicated one full-day track. The programme will address:
- outstanding telemedicine implementations across Europe
- challenges and best practices in scaling up telemedicine implementations
- best practices in training and engaging patients, clinicians and care communities
- evaluation frameworks and the medical, social and economic aspects of technology assessment.
Moreover, back for its 5th edition too, the Young Innovators Competition will be hosted by the ETC18 with a session dedicated to award the most promising innovative solutions submitted by either young innovators or startups in telemedicine and eHealth.
Lastly, the European Telemedicine Conference is also committed to build the bridge and reinforce the cross-fertilization between industry and academy and contributes to promote and spread the results of the most advanced research works in telemedicine and eHealth field. For this reason, a Call for Scientific Abstract is currently open. Researchers from all over Europe are invited to submit abstracts to present their work following the instructions provided here.
It is a great honour for us that Prof. Francisco Lupiáñez-Villanueva, is co-chairing the Scientific Committee together with Prof. Kristian Kidholm (Centre for Innovative Medical Technology, Odense University Hospital) which is in charge for the review and selection of the four best abstracts that will be presented during a specific research-oriented session at the ETC2018 on the 28th of May. The remaining accepted abstracts will be also presented as posters at the conference.
