The Global Internet Policy Observatory (GIPO) is an online platform aimed at facilitating the understanding of the influence and development of the Internet.

The goal of the GIPO initiative is to make information about Internet-related policies (including Internet governance matters) accessible to the audience currently  not taking part to the broader debate, in addition to facilitating access to information for those that are already engaged.

The European Commission has launched a study with the aim to provide a full review of the technological solutions that could be providing such functions, as well as proposing recommendations for an internal governance / management framework that could be adopted for the GIPO online platform.

The project is carried out by P.A.U Education, CTIC Centro Tecnologico and Open Evidence on behalf of the European Commission – DG CONNECT.
