Abstract: The project aims to support citizens and their intermediaries in developing citizen energy projects through technical, regulatory, communication and outreach, organisational, financial, and administrative advice. The tasks for this project includes setting up and operating a Citizen Energy Advisory Hub, mapping national framework conditions that enable energy citizens to participate in relevant market activities and correlated decision-making processes, providing technical assistance to identified actors, planning communication activities and workshops, dissemination of best practices and other findings. Open Evidence conducts 10 behavioural experiments to evaluate how different nudges and boosts can effectively engage citizens in the energy transition. We seek to understand how various formats and sources of information can enhance engagement with incentives such as dynamic price contracts, energy sharing, time-differentiated network tariffs, and investments in energy efficiency and renewable energy production capacity.
