Online platforms are transforming different sectors of the economy such as e-commerce and retail, travel, leisure and hospitality. With more than one million EU businesses using online platforms to sell their goods and services, it is crucial to monitor and analyse the ongoing trends and emerging issues within the online platform environment.
Open Evidence takes part in a study to support the Observatory on the Online Platform Economy, which aims at shedding light on the relationships between platforms and their business users, such as terms and conditions, ranking, pricing and access to data. The main goal of these research activities is to gather evidence from key stakeholders.
Do you have experience on the online platform economy, either as a representative of an online platform or as a business user? This is your chance to share your views! We invite you to get involved by signing up to one of our two panels – one for platforms, and one for business users.
In parallel, we encourage both online platforms and their business users to flag any issues that they may have encountered when dealing with each other.
