We are pleased to announce that Open Evidence will take part in the recently kicked-off ICTUSnet project. The initiative has been granted by Interreg Sudoe Programme, which is financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The Programme is part of the European territorial cooperation objective, known as Interreg, which provides a framework for the implementation of joint actions and policy exchanges between national, regional and local actors from different Member states.
ICTUSnet is a three-year project that will be coordinated by AQuAS (Sanitary Quality and Evaluation Agency of Catalonia). The project counts with the participation of 10 partners from France, Portugal and Spain, from the regions of Catalonia (AQuAs, Barcelona Supercomputing Center-Centro Nacional de Supercomputación, Fundació Ictus and Open Evidence), Aragon (Instituto Aragonés de Ciencias de la Salud), Balearic Irelands (Fundación Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria Illes Balears), Navarra (Navarrabiomed-Fundación Miguel Servet), North of Portugal (Administração Regional de Saúde do Norte) and Occitanie (Centre hospitalier Universitaire de Montpellier département and Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Tolouse).
Its main goal is to develop and implement innovative models of stroke care strategies. The different regions taking part in the ICTUSnet project share the same goal of implementing or improving stroke care strategies, as well as sharing knowledge and best practices that have a positive impact on clinical decisions, management and planning within the stroke care area. In order to achieve its objectives and facilitate the comparison of results among the different countries, ICTUSnet will provide programming, IT and data analysis resources.
Open Evidence will be leading one of the comparative studies in WP3 (Analysis and benchmarking for stroke patients assistance strategies) in close cooperation with AQuAS, Barcelona Supercomputing Center and Instituto Aragonés de Ciencias de la Salud. Open Evidence will also be involved in the development of ICTUSnet’s communication plan and dissemination activities.
