Open Evidence is pleased to announce the award of a new Framework Contract to support the work of the European Parliament Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE). Open Evidence, together with RAND Europe will provide expert advice on a variety of current and emerging issues on ICT technologies, EU digital policies and technological aspects of digitisation and robotisation of industries and services. Tasks will involve compilation of data and knowledge, cost-benefit analysis and impact assessments and outlining and evaluating policies and legislation relevant to the given Committee’s work.
The Framework contract covers a wide variety of subjects related to big data handling and use, broadband investment and roll-out, cloud computing, net neutrality, cybersecurity, e-government, electronic and mobile payments, internet governance, internet of things (IoT) and RFID and sensors, smart cities and ICT applications in the area of smart grid and smart metering, natural resources monitoring, social sciences and medicine, mobility and spectrum management.
After many years working in close collaboration with the European Commission and different EU agencies, this will be the first time that Open Evidence has the opportunity to assist the European Parliament, which is an important forum for political debate and decision-making at the EU level.
