Study of innovation and cost-effectiveness indicators in eHealth
The study comprises the definition of a set of input, output, outcome and impact indicators, as well as a framework to monitor the European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing (Digital Agenda for Europe flagship initiative) based on systematic review and case studies.
At the beginning of 2011, the European Commission launched the European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing (EIP on AHA) as part of the Innovation Union, one of the seven flagship initiatives of the Europe 2020 strategy for growths and jobs. This partnership is especially important in the context of an ageing European population. The EC has identified active and healthy ageing as a major societal challenge – but also as an opportunity for Europe to take the lead in providing innovative solutions in this field. In this context, the focus of this study was to develop an EIP on AHA Monitoring and Assessment Framework, which would foresee activities within the area of Measuring and Monitoring, Assessment and Evaluation, as well as Modelling of expected impacts.
The study forms part of earlier research projects conducted by Open Evidence staff.
